JDM Z34 sales stats - two weeks 1,051 units sold

Its doing good in JP. Can't wait to see how well it does here.

In terms of specifications being chosen, the top spec Version ST accounts for the vast majority of sales at 50%. The Version T coming in equal second at 18% with the standard Z at 18% also. The base model Version S accounts for just 14% of orders.

Surprisingly, most people are choosing the 7 speed automatic gearbox option over the 6 speed manual with a 68% to 32% split.

No surprises when it comes to colour, Brilliant White Pearl tops the list at 28% of orders, Black Diamond and Blade Silver equal second with 20%, Brilliant Silver third with just 10% of orders and Red accounting for just 7%. Lemans Blue, Titanium Grey and Ultimate Yellow not proving to be popular to rate a mention yet.

As far as buyer demographic, the Z looks to be selling best in the 40-49 year age bracket (32%) followed by the 50-59 year age bracket (26%)! 30 - 39 year olds account for 17% of sales and the over 60’s are next with 15%. The 29 and younger are just 10% of new Z owners so far!

One more point - 80% of buyers are going for the HDD Navigation system option.

I'll merge it later. This car will sell itself with all this new features and amenities. Nissan did a good job with the car. I hope it sells just as well here as it did in Japan.

Actually, as much as I like this car.....the one thing I wanted least is everyone including dumb blonde's (no offense), driving the same car as me . I kind of already saw that in the 350z.

Wow, pearl white is the most popular color. I figure it would be one of the 3 silvers they offer.

i think the age stats will be different for the U.S. market.

^^ I doubt it, we feel like it will be.
But most of us on this forum are young....and the older ppl are not represented
