I think my '09 FX has the same thing. I actually think it's a bit more common than a lot of us think, but never take the time to look. Cool!

Oh that it explains it. I've noticed the hight of the car from front and rear off by millimeters oh there goes my OCD type A coming out, nice to know your not alone. I was a former BMW owner! please excuse me.
