Both suck on the track and need upgraded from stock with heating issues all around. Its hard to say when heavily modified. As for 1/4 mile beating...

It would be better to assume running on the track or whatever 'unlimited' (and flat road - of course).

WRX is lighter and faster :happydance:

M5 and M6 power to weight ratio sucks. Both weighs over 2 tons.

No matter who wins the race, you still have a beautiful 370Z and they have a car that looks like a Toyota Tercel with a hood scoop.

Folks that drive M5's and M6's on the street seem to baby them, in my experiance.

I did a spirited drive with a new 2013 M5 owner recently. He spent just over 100k ote.

The thing is nasty, spacious, brutal tone from the quad tips. His car was definitely the faster car, but not to the point of ridiculousness.

Ultimately, he spent as much time drooling over the Z as I did over the M.
The takeaway we agreed on (he is in his 30's and me in my 20's) was that the M is nasty, but for 30k the Z is still a helluva lot of car if you can drive it well.
That MUST mean something coming from an M owner! :stirthepot:

Nope, impossible.
No car can ever be built to beat another car ever....it is impossible.

Unpossible!!

1M would be cool if it didn't look so squished and was always in the shop

I have two friends with the 1M, I see them in 3 series courtesy cars more often than their cars lol.

Was that English? Let me help...

Dude, never buy that garbage. A friend and I hooked one up (i mean chipped it) and replaced various parts (lets say boost was 21psi). after that the car just kept falling apart. drive train is garbage and we never ever would recommend that car.:shakes head:

PS; why is a car garbage if you undid what the manufacturer did not intend that car to do? Don't get me wrong, not being able to modify a car sucks, but you think bmw gives 2 ***** about you and your over hp and tq blowing their tranny/axle/diff components? I'm sure they tried to make that car run 100-200k in stock form to never have an issue. If you want power and reliability out of a car you messed with that wasn't intended for your goals, then I suggest you dig in your pockets and put in new gears, synchros, axels and LSD diffs etc. and not make it out to be there fault.

anyone who has ever "raced" a car knows that even if u have more power, u still need to know how to: shift if its 1/4 mile(manual) launch if its auto. if its road racing(track) u need to know how to use that power and use the brakes!!! U ever watch " R U Faster Than a Red Neck"???? there's your answer in a nut shell. Power does not mean faster:driving:

Big turbo power is no joke. When he hit the gas my butthole got tight enough to crush a water bottle. I want that in my car...

Be careful not to eat beans and drive if you do boost your Z. It may be disastrous!
