Sounds like someone is trying to hide there true feelings towards men by creating the 'There is no way I will be perceived as gay buffer zone'. Sorry but if you think having a blue car makes you seem gay then you have some serious masculinity issues.

The third picture that AK posted of the blue is a very accurate representation (at least on my monitor). You'll notice in direct sunlight it looks a bit washed but with shade or dark reflections it looks much darker.

WTF - blue has been the "boy" colour since the dawn of time. Where did you grow up?

Maybe the OP's friend has cataracts? The colours on the Z are some of the boldest on the road with a very nice shine to them.
