*NEW* Dyno results are in....
So, here are the three dyno results I've had so far with my 370Z. The first one is totally stock, the second has Berk HFC's & Stillen Dual Exhaust and Intake, and finally the last one is from today which has everything installed in my signature:

nice gains man, was it worth the 11K price tag
|
Nice :)

Thanks Tony. You happy with the results?
|
the 11k price tag includes other non performance related things... Im sure the boltons + tune costs much less

lol...just teasing...

Maybe someone can clear this up but it seems that when people dynoed individualy these mods that there were gains of 15+hp. However from what I've been seeing from people like you who have all these mods put on and then dynoed it seems the total hp gain from intake, exhuast, and HFC is around 25. I know ricer math doesn't apply but I would have thought with all the good gains we've seen from these mods individually that there would be more than a ~25hp gain total.
To the OP, nice numbers and nice Z. |
it was probably 5k for the bolt-ons with labour
|
It definitely seems like if you want to make some more power for only a few more grand you might as well just go with a turbo or supercharger.
I'm favorable of the supercharger because I think this car is missing so lower RPM torque. I for one am happy with the power it has and have no intention of modifying the engine. |
The most expensive upgrade? The wheels & rims....$5500 in that alone. Also, about $2000 in labor charges. So, that leaves about $5000 for all the other items (give or take).
And yes, I'm glad I did all this! And the tire rub? Not an issue....it seems one of the plastic clips on the inside of the fender is doing it. What I was told by DDMotorsports and also Altered today....the problem will work itself out. What I thought were rub marks are actually just little pieces of plastic......a good cleaning of the tires and it might just look as good as new....so no, I haven't nor will I be raising the car.....AGGRESSIVE LOOK STAYS! hahaha! |
i beleive in ur Z and look, it keeps the slammed look
it could be slammed some more with trimming the lining |

Extreme, take it from me, you dont want to **** with the tire rubbing on that clip. The 'pre-sets' on my coilovers were very low and it rubbed on everything. I have already trimmed and dremmel'd that metal clip down (under the lining its a nasty metal sharp type of clip). I have the SAME setup as you in the front and if stays low, its going to rub on everything and eventually eat your tire. It didnt do it as much when I went from the 275s to 265s but it improved 100% when I went to do the corner balancing and alignment. No more rubbing on anything what-so-ever. My look isnt any less aggressive than yours either. I would first be safe and do the corner balancing/alignment then cut if needed! |

Looks like you have two things I haven't done yet: corner balancing and the alignment....hopefully after those are done it will stop? I have to ask.....what is corner balancing? Is that something that can be done (or will be done) at the time of the alignment or do I have to speciffically ask for it? |
I can bring my dremel up tomorrow and we could do some parking lot trimming...
HAHA, im kidding :) Oh and btw...im gonna *fap fap* all over the side of your car...so make sure to take pics from only one side. |
nah man, no fender rolling, the fenders are rolled already enough and one mistake and the paint can crack.

I used to have a gto, along with my boss. We both rolled our fenders, mine came out fine, his paint flaked up. Just gotta have the touch I guess :D
Kidding, don't risk your paint. |

So, corner balancing is usually done when your getting aligned and in simple terms it basically raises/lowers all the corners accordingly to reach a 50/50 cross balance on the vehicle. Also, I would recommend to get it done with a half tank of gas so your as balanced as possible. A good shop will even balance and align your car based on the drivers weight too! You just tell them you like the height where it is and when they balance it the changes are literally minimal and you wont really notice. Also, you might be able to get away without having to cut anything with a camber of -2.2 or more in the front. I'll try and take pictures tomorrow of the amount I cut (before my balance/alignment) which eliminated the issue. I just want you to get the balance alignment done first because it may stop the rubbing all together. Its still going to be VERY close. Hope this helps... |
Impressive!!!
you thought about a wetshot for another 100 whp? |

Euro Tire in NJ, they are kinda famous for how good they are. They setup a ton of track Porsche's. I mean alot of places that do alignment can do balancing, but I guess some just do it alot better than others.
