"I was told the results would have probably been about +5 whp if it had been done in 5th gear. "
Then why didn't they do it in 5th? :icon08: |

You paid for service like that?

Yeah....I know. I'll just live with my DynoJet results. ;)
|
According to the shop I have done my dynos at, it does not matter on a dyno dynamics between 4th & 5th for a 6 speed manual he said. Now with the 7 speed auto I am not sure 100% really.
|
My understanding is that the 7 speed auto has to be dynod in 4th gear because the car will hit the speed limiter in 5th gear.

Tony, sucks that the numbers weren't that great -- but at least it gives me something to compare to. I need to head out to Altered, though, and see what the difference between our cars is on a DynoJet. For those of you that don't know, Tony and I went to the dyno today and I put down 265.4whp with my only mod being an Injen CAI. BTW -- I have some video that I will put together and upload of your pulls. |
Good to know m4a1mustang, next dyno run I go to (after exhaust is in) I will do first two in 4th and then a final run in 5th.
|
You should consider telling them to do it again. Maybe they should consider asking how many gears a car has before dynoing it. Retards.
|
I wouldn't sweat it, other than Mustangs being almost as close. As far as actual numbers between dyno's, thats irrelevant. They are tuning tools, nothing more. Great at telling you gains, but you can't compare them to each other as they are all inherently different.
