Kids done changed. It was usually they stared at sports cars and admired them. Now they spit on em? If that was my kid and you showed me him spitting on your car? I'd make him lick his own spit back off the car then make him wash your car every week for a month.

It's hard to tell if the kids are doing this out of hate or envy or just a couple of boys being boys. You have to split the blame between the kid and the parents either way.
I have a four year old boy and he is at an age where he is pushing the boundaries to see how far he can go. This is a good thing as it helps him understand consequences and is key to his eventual independence as a man. It doesn't make him bad, evil, or hateful. However, he knows to respect the property of others and knows the consequences if he doesn't. In my opinion, the most effective course of action is to track down both boys and request to have a conversation with the kids' parents with them present to show the evidence and communicate your disagreement with the behavior. Also let them know that you have cameras up that can see all the way down the road in both directions and that the video will go to the press along with his name if it ever happens again. He won't ever come back and who knows maybe the parents will tighten things up with the older kid. Last edited by my2004Z; 09-24-2013 at 02:53 PM. |

I'm sure they were "good kids" just on their way to the library or perhaps bible school. The sight of such a opulent car, obviously owned by a rich guy, pushed these "good kids" over the edge and the evil this car conveys found it's way into their child minds to corrupt and cause their downfall.
Bottom line: It's the cars fault. Welcome to America. |

Late last spring, I was alone, slowly driving my gleaming red Z through our residential development. A boy, about 12, was walking on the side of the street, to my right, toward me and my car. As we closed, I saw him look at me, reach into his pocket and when we were almost even, he stupidly threw an object (maybe a large eraser or a gum ball) right at my car. I stopped and backed up and said, "Hey kid, why did you throw that at my car? You might have damaged the paint." He looked scared and kept walking away. Just then, a big guy came out of a nearby house and walked briskly toward me, apparently thinking that I was trying something wrongful with this kid. He glared at me and said, "WTF's YOUR problem, fellah?" I, now on the defensive, said,"This kid just threw a stone or something at my car." He glanced quickly at my car and said, "I don't see any damage. I think I'd move along if I were you." Which is exactly what I did. Sad, stupid world out there.
