Guys, read the article linked below and then compare to what's actually happened in Tokyo so far. I'm really starting to think the IDx is the next Z. Unbelievable if true.

IDx checks all the boxes:

[x] Unveiled at November’s Tokyo Motor Show
[x] Smaller and lighter than the current 370Z
[x] Could look quite different from a traditional sports car
[x] A high-powered Nismo version is on the agenda, too
[x] The Juke Nismo offers some hints at what Nissan is looking at
[x] Does it need to look like a Toyota GT 86? No
[x] When will you see it? Come to Tokyo

The IDx checks every box of what was predicted by the article linked below (which seems to be the most direct source). Starting to think the IDx is actually the new Z. Unbelieveable if true.

It would make sense for a line of cars that was originally intended for the American market but I guess we shall see

here's the thing, they just gave the 370z a facelift with the 2013 model. why would they unveil a new z already? it wont happen. not for another year or two.

It actually makes sense because the 350Z lasted six years with a refresh for the last two model years. If the run for the 370Z follows the same path we'll see a redesign for 2015. Then the 50th Anniversary model will be the swan song for the Z35.

IDX is a disappointing replacement if so...

BladeGlider violates the first rule of sportscars - you can't make out in the front seat.

Oh well...

I dunno...you can't or shouldn't make out while driving regardless. If anything, this leaves another seat for a threesome. It also stands as a sentiment towards the no fat chicks rule.
