Clear bra help
Hi, I live in Yuma, AZ and just got a 370 Nismo last weekend in Phoenix, AZ. I want to get the ventureshield ultra clear bra installed and need your help finding a good place to get it done. If any of you guys can reccomend a reputable shop in the San Diego or Phoenix area I would appreciate it very much. I've searched the forums read the posts and I want to get it done as soon as possible. Taking it next week to get the windows tinted locally, there is a very nice shop in town where I had my other cars done before but nobody in Yuma does the clear bras. Thanks in advance for your help.

Protect-A-Shield in Scottsdale!
I can't say enough about how great a job that Protecta-A-Shield in Scottsdale did on my 370 about a month ago. They did about a third of the hood, the front bumper, front fenders, back of the mirrors, headlights, A-pillars and an area in front of the rear wheels ala Porsche - all for $700. It is barely noticable on my yellow Z, and they are very professional and curteous. They gave my wife and I a ride to Scottsdale Fashion Plaza while the did the job, then came and picked us up when they were finished.
The owner is Brian Schenck, and they are located at 3007 N. 73rd. Street, Unit E. His number is (602) 692-4653. As I said, I HIGHLY recommend them. Tell him that Ben Cleaves sent ya. AZ Roadster |

I think Riverview Nissan in Mesa may offer clear bra installation... or at least I recall seeing a brochure for it when I was there earlier this week so I suppose it could be an outside vendor. Either way it might be worth a call.

I just want to throw this out there for you...
I ordered the 3m clear bra kit for the 370z and completely installed it myself. Hood fenders bumper lights and mirrors. It took a good bit of time and patience, but I saved about $400 doing it myself. I have no experience in window tinting, clear bra installation, etc... all it takes is time and patience, and maybe a few beers. oh and... 2 water bottles baby shampoo 70% rubbing alcohol squeegee microfiber towels or equivalent |

After considering the fact that I don't have a garage and here the temp' between May and Sep are in the 100+ deg every day I decided not to get the clear bra installed. I've seen what the sun can do to them here in 3 years time and I'm going to pass on it. A firefighter that works nearby had it done to his black Mustang GT and it looks terrible after 3 years, the shop that did it went under so much for warranty.
I got the windows tinted at Premier Window Tinting 928 246-0655, they do an excellent job I've had 4 vehicles done by them and never had problems with the quality of the work. Lifetime warranty and they have a good selection of tints. I paid $150 for the tint on the Nismo. |
