WTF is this???
Do people really like these???
http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41RQ3vwfFnL.jpg http://rcm-na.amazon-adsystem.com/e/...ins=B004A34ZAE Your thoughts? Scott |
God awful
|
I don't like it myself, But what do I know :ugh2:
I maybe wrong But the Z store carries them also |
Seems to me like it would increase wind resistance with no benefit. They do have a nice "jet intake" look to them but not nice enough to put on my DD just for the eye appeal. Would look great on a show car.
Edit: Plus, it's hard enough to see out that side as it is. Insanity to block even more of the view. Great for a show car but not the road. Edit 2: Egads! You have to roll the windows down to open/close the doors! Forget to roll the window down (I can see that being very easy to do, especially for a passenger) and you rip the cowls off or break the window. Edit 3: Not true. The cowl does not extend forward enough to interfere with opening/closing the door. Thanks to KaienZ34 for pointing this out. |

Useless piece for a useless window.....they complete eachother.
On the other hand my car won't be seen with these. |
Im almost positive that increases your horsepower.
|
Lol I thought you all were talking about the rear window visor and I was like yeah there ugly but c'mon y'all are hating a little hard on a piece if plastic. Then I saw the abomination!!! :-x I hope I never have to see that in person. 370mustang tragedy lol
|
Seems like it would come off as well after gaining a bit of speed.

People gotta rice something...
|
i laughed so hard at the title.... LOL
|
:bowrofl:
|
It wouldn't be too bad if it had any sort of function other than being a sun shade for the rear window, but fake scoops are lame.
|
felix- so its a sun shade for rear passengers?
I saw this last yr or the yr before |
It's crazy ugly along with the rest of that stick on bodyCrap, seen all of it in person at Zdayz 2012 :crying:. It doesn't however stop you from opening or closing the door. The vent thing covers the side window and the B pillar. Go open your door with the windows up, you'll see that the window doesn't go all the way to the end of the door.

What else is would it be good for  |

Sadly enough your right, the z store does have them. In fact they had them first almost two years ago. :roflpuke2: Motorsport! 370Z Exterior - The Z Store, Nissan-Datsun 240Z-260Z-280Z-280ZX-300ZX(Z31/Z32)-350Z-370Z Parts |

But Most Don't!!!!!!! |
Knowing that they don't interfere with the windows makes things a little better. But still not for me. If they had some function, other than looks, it might be worth giving up what little visibility there is over there. If Zs were mid-/rear-engine and the scoops would provide some extra cooling, then maybe (although I would want something a little more permanent than sticky tape heehee).
But if someone likes them well enough to pay for and install them, who am I to argue? They do look nice. |
I don't mind it if you make it functional!
Rear brake duct hose? Cut window out, install hose? Rear diff air cooling duct? Some type of F1 setup to put air down on the rear end/diffuser? |
2 fast 2 gay for me....:supergay::superghey:
|
this was my next mod on my z :wtf2: :p
