2013 370z oil cooler info update

This is my response to you...(you know who you are).

I called Nissan North America today and went to 2 nissan dealerships, gave them my vin#, they ALL told me the same thing,..the 2013 370z is equipped with an oil cooler! That saves me $$$, Im happy to hear that since Im planning to install an oil cooler in the future...

My oil temps is around 180F to 200F on a hot day(120F) in Nevada, cruising around 90 to 120mph at death valley...

I drove from san francisco to san diego to las vegas! :tiphat:

Thank you!!!

Good for daily. Useless for tracking. I was still seeing 220 with normal driving here in Hawaii with the factory oil cooler and Redline 5w-30. All I have is autocross here so never made an issue keeping cool for a 45 sec lap and about 10mins of cool down.

Was there a question about that? It's been pretty well known around here that 2012+ Z's have a water to air oil cooler. It's definitely better than nothing, but it's not going to do as much as an air-to-air unit. I'm shocked you're seeing 200F on a 120 degree day. I've got a 34 row oil cooler and I see higher oil temps than that doing 65 on the freeway in 6th on a 90 degree day.

I had a 2009 370z and now have a 2013 370z and will say the pil cooler is cetainly effective for the everyday normal driver. Even after a few pulls in the highway, my temps stay well under 210. Now at the dragstrip in Orlando on a hott day....that's another story.

I would hope so since they installed oil coolers starting in 2012 models. Wouldn't make sense for them to remove it in newer models...unless the 2014 models don't have them, hence the price drop.

Me too, same story. I see 15-20 degrees cooler overall normal driving with moderate aggression in my '13 compared to my old '09.

i've gone 220+ on a 95+ hot day by pushing the Z hard in a 14 mile route (not on highway). But at crusing speeds on a hot day, oil temps is good.
