I like the FI potential of the 370Z to make big numbers... that said the new Z will probably stock for stock outperform the 370Z

Listen, I am all for sports car, don't care that much about saving gas for the little driving I do, but calling it a hoax? C'mon on now :gtfo2:

Saw this and wanted to share.

2.5l Turbo 4 Cyl. output @ 230kW = 308hp roughly. What do you guys think?

does this thing transform into a robot or?

Please Nissan, no 4 cylinder. As far as the design goes, I'm sure it won't look like that.

I like the look of that concept, tone down and smooth out the character lines on the side, fix the nose so it has a better grill and doesn't look so goofy, then they really have something there.

No 4 bangers though. Just no.

Before you wish someone lose their job, think about what having a factory turbo means.

Think Supra or Evo.

Easy, cheap HP with minimal hassle.

And tell them its a V4? No. Just no.

The 2010 base mustang had a V6 with 210 HP where the 2011 base mustang had a V6 with 305 HP (5 more than the 2010 GT with a V8). I have no problem with a smaller engine if the car is faster. Technology can be a wonderful thing.

As far as concept drawing go, this was a concept drawing of the C6 corvette:

So I doubt the final car will look anything like the drawing.

I don't care how they do it but all I need is this.

1. Car is lighter than it is now (by a good amount, not like 50 lbs)
2. Car is faster than it is now.
2a. slight power bump via DI with a lot of weight reduction (still NA v6 so those who want big power can still after market turbo it)
2b. Close or lower power with big weight reduction ie smaller turbo engine like in this article IF it is relatively easily and inexpensively tuneable to more hp than what we currently get with full bolt-ons
4. It needs to look at least as good as it does now.
5. Obviously resolve fuel starve problems, etc.

Bottom line, make it a better car. I don't care what's under the hood as long as it's a better with better tunability. Having a v6 as an otption is actually a great idea for those who need the displacement for max power with an after market turbo set up. The turbo 4 would be great for everyone else who are just doing bolt-ons with their current Zs as long as it can get us a lot more than we currently can NA.
