Most sport cars are evolutionary versus revolutionary in body style designs over time. I believe this because most auto makers are brand image conscious and view their sports cars as Halo's. Radical changes in design of the same model, will have people wondering what brand of car it is and the possibility of losing repeat customers.
Porsche 911 and Corvettes are great examples of this. So recognizable whether it's a 1970 or 2013. |
