Questions when buying body kits
So i am interested in buying some lips for my car... However my car's color is black cherry (not the most common color)...
So here is my question, when buying body parts, do u guys buy whatever color and just re-paint or u buy ur stock color... Or does it even make a difference? Thanks guys! -Jay |
Body parts never come in any color. Most are not even primered.

some shops do sell pre-painted to the colorcode you like. but most often, aftermarket stuff dont fit very well unless you get ones made in japan.
even so sometimes you have to do some body work to get it to fit to your specific car nice and flush. ive found oem pre-painted ones fit very well though. |
Body pieces usually only come painted when you buy them used. Now, if you get a CF lip, you won't need to color match it.

CF is definitely nice.

For non CF pcs, it does not matter. You'll need to prep and re finish anyway. For a CF lip, skirt, or wing, it would be such a waste to paint over such a beautiful thing.
