Alarm sound
 

Since yesterday my car seems to be having problems with the beeping sound of the alarm. What's weird is that the car lock and unlock normally but the alarm doesn't make a sound at all. Had any of you guys experience this problem before? Keep in mind that i eliminated the steering lock fuse but i don't know if that have anything to do with the problem. Any help is appreciated :tiphat:

Funny...mine has never made an alarm arming sound. Thought it was supposed to be that way. >.>

The door chimes when you press the buttons or the horn when you click lock on the fob?

There's a way to turn on/off the sound when you lock the car. It's in the manual somewhere.

My car never made a noise on unlock, only locking the doors the car honks.

Holding the lock/unlock keys on the fob will disable/enable the horn sound.

If the chimes/beeps aren't working when you press the button on the door (outside of the car) - check the fuse in the drivers-side footwell.

That's what caused mine to not work - it was loose.

Correct. I made mine silent at the begining. I forgot how.

this is like the oil maintenance reminder reset sequence. just keep pushing the buttons and it just works after a while... :ugh:

It does not matter if i press the button on the door or the fob to lock or unlock it doesn't honk anymore, mine always honk either one's to unlock and twice to lock. That's why i find it weird. Probably like other have mention maybe i did something without knowing and disable the sound

I haven't tried in the 370, but assuming it's the same, press and hold both unlock and lock at the same time for 5-10 seconds until you heart the horn beep. Worked for my 350 when I thought the alarm was broke! :tiphat:
