For those that are interested in my broken car
FINALLY GOT IT BACK!!!
$2604 later... Lol (I tipped the mechanic $100, I forgot to add that in) FUUUUUUCK!!! My car is actually, finally done, and I can hopefully pick it up tomorrow... Problem is... My service advisor was fired 2 days ago... I REALLY hope the dealer doesn't try to screw me now... MAJOR UPDATE AGAIN!!!: My car will supposedly be DONE on Wednesday!!! Extra mods when I get it back: Genuine Momentum headers All new silicone hoses (not the PCV hoses because I plan to put catch cans) Z1 urethane engine mounts CSF radiator! Well, I got a call, and the guy said bad news... Immediate reaction "FÜCK!" And he said, "the intake valve on cylinder 6 where the nut was, it's bent. And we can't replace the valve, we gotta replace the head" I said that it was GREAT news! And he said he found a head for $1400, if I can find one from a Nissan dealer for less, they can install it and I'll keep my warranty!!! SWEEEEEEEEET!!! I'm ecstatic, I don't have $2500 of disposable income, but I think they'll hold the car until the next paycheck with no issues. My only issue is that now that the motor is out... I want headers installed too!!! OLD: Background... I'll update later, but check my previous threads... But the car is at Fontana Nissan So... Long story short(ER). They found a nut sitting on the intake valves of cylinder 6, causing the valve seat to get fùcked. No warranty because there ARE no nuts on the intake... So... I'm at a loss of $600 labor already, they pulled the motor and disconnected everything, then they bolted it back in just to save shop space. IF they can JUST replace the valve head (because of VVEL they need to replace the whole head, not just a valve and a valve seat... POS) I'm out $1100 on labor, the valve head is like $1000-1100, plus (I assume) some other fees $300-400, so I'm out $2500-2600 all told and I keep my warranty. IF anything got stuck in the cylinder and scored the cylinder wall, I need a new engine... (Tech's said that they couldn't scope the cylinder because of VVEL... POS...) So they're taking their time because they're cutting me a HELL of a deal on labor, and I told them to take all the time they need... NOW, I'm 100% sure the dealership that had my car for 13 days with the laundry list of problems started to fix it, then I got into it with the dealershit guy, and they just tossed it back together... |

I say get it put back together, put a brick on the gas pedal, and drive it through the showroom floor of that other dealer$hit. |

true that. from experience i have not been able to get anything done with nissan's canned message lady. they sure train those dumbarse robots good.
