But hey, they ****** us all by dropping the 14's $3600 so our cars are worth dog **** now, paint sucks *** and chips if you sneeze on it, so whats one more thing like a sports car that can't take corners or it shuts off
They also raised the price every year since it was introduced. It's now priced the same as it was when I bought my car 4 years ago. It means one thing. There's a new model in the works and they need to move more Z's.

The fuel starve issue does worry me. The problem is, even if Nissan issues a recall or fix, it's not going to be an easy one. It's the design of the tank and every solution thus far isn't 100% and/or extreme in scope.

It's because they don't granny shift and they double clutch like they should.

I think its semi easy, a vendor here makes a fix. Nissan will just have to make enough so you don't have to pay the crazy $1000 for his solution.

This is scary. I've let my fuel level down to less than 20 miles DTE several times (I only live 8 miles away from work and the gas station is in between). Never again .

Its not a money issue and if you had half a brain yould know that it doesnt save any money by waiting till < 1/4 tank to fill up vs filling up at 1/2 a tank. the only thing that drives the cost higher is gas mileage so how am I cheap again?

...anyways I have had 2 370z's and it never happened on the first one I had so maybe its just hit or miss or happenstance to suck up an air bubble. That being said I wouldnt push it

That doesn't include the labor involved does it? That's kind of what I'm getting at. Sounds harsh, but Nissan weights in the cost of the recall vs. any real threat of death. There should really be some kind of recall for this, more so than the steering lock issue. So far though, no one to my knowledge has crashed or has gotten injured because of this so I doubt Nissan will do anything any time soon. People need to speak up, just like they did with the steering lock issue.

The solution from phunk seems to work, but I doubt Nissan would go with that solution.
