mine was making noise on the right door panel so i took it off and there are some little screws that were on the backside of the door panel that were loose.I turned them a couple of turns and its quiet now.

For me, just interior noise. I've already been to the dealer twice and have to go back a third time soon. Damn, this thing rattles a lot!

can anyone more specifically define "interior noise"? Because I haven't experienced any but I'm also a little hard of hearing. If I had specific stuff to listen for however I might notice something amiss as well.

thats nothing, ive put on 2200 is 3 weeks! I keep looking for excuses to drive it, I probably spend a hundred bucks a week in gas, the mpg on these things suck in the city, thats my only complaint.

Iam having a problem with check engine light. Took it tithe dealership 3x already, code coming up as "Evap very small leak" he says it may be some valve on the 370 that doesn't seat right. Waiting on Nissan expert tech to sort it out.

The only thing stopping me from buying this weekend is the oil temp issue.

Somebody talk me into it.

It's not an issue unless you intend to track the car. It's that simple. This has been focused on here to the point of Hysteria. If you don't like 225-250 temps, put a <$300 cooler on and run 195-225. It's that simple. See my DIY (in the sig) for how easy and cheap this can be..

The main problem I've had is rattling in the driver side door. It's just below the window, as far away from the speedometer as you can get (ie, kind of close to your left shoulder). It occasionally pops up from driving, but the main problem is with music. Whenever a male voice is on (or sometimes a low note from a guitar or something similar) the door starts rattling. If I place my hand on the door, it stops. It's basically like the door farting during music. I'm a total audiophile, so this is driving me nuts. The dealership "fixed" it about six weeks ago, and I went back a couple of weeks later and told them it was still rattling. They said that although they could hear the rattle, they had tried everything possible and it still wasn't fixed. They think the door might be defective; I'm going in on Friday to have a manager or specialist or something look at it to (probably) approve getting a new door.

There are also rattles coming from the back end of the car when I am on rough roads. It's actually louder than the door rattle, but to me it's much less annoying since it isn't affecting the music.

Thanks. Not hearing any of that though. You may want to make sure everything is secure under your trunk mat (spare, jack, tools, etc). I can't speak for the door noise since I don't listen to music or anything while driving

even Porsche 997 drivers (a car that's 3x more in price and prestige) like doing double takes
oil temp hits 220+ when I drive on sunny days
needs some more low end torque
This is almost exactly my thoughts and experience so far, although I can't compare my car to a 350z.
The looks from people are nice, had a brand new Z06 pass me and stare today, at only 1/2 the price!

My oil temp hasn't topped 225 that I've seen in the past few weeks. There haven't been too many consecutive 105+deg days as there were before I purchased my car. Lately with some off-and-on spirited driving, I've been seeing 200-215deg oil temp; well within reason.

I have the high-pitched fuel pump noise in my car, which sucks, but I typically have the stereo up and don't even notice it when talking in the car.

It may be my paranoia but shifting seems overly-firm and clunky at times.

My car was trucked in from Port Arthur to Weatherford, TX (6-7 hours away,) and when they unpacked the floor mats, I received 350z Nismo mats. I'm supposed to be getting the 370z Nismo mats later this week, so all is ending well. Has anyone else heard of this?

Trunk mat.... This think is soooo wrinkly. I've been alternating it from upside-down to right-side-up every couple of days but it still looks terrible. Is there a way to just iron this or something? When I replaced the carpet in a car I had with a cracked heater core it said to leave the carpet out in the sun for a couple days to get it's shape.

The hatch popping issue has reared its head a couple times, but I spoke with the dealer today and he seemed willing to help with getting me the new springs.

Oh, also, I hate wanting to clean her all the time and being disgusted at every little piece of dirt I see.

Biggest issue for '09 Z is that Shunya doesn't have it yet. There must be some sort of TSB out.

Kidding aside, I honestly don't have any deal breaking issues with my car. The road noise is probably the most annoying, but it only occurs on certain road surfaces. IIRC, some different tires can alleviate this issue. The transmission will be notchy for the first few thousand miles, but it is much better than my 350Z (with transmission replaced in '06). The clunkiness and rattling noise is apparent in the Z/G, so nothing new there.

No problems or issues for me. I got exactly what I wanted. Absolutely the most fun and best performance for the money, and the way I drive.

If you want a grand touring car, look elsewhere. This thing is a sports car and proud of it! It involves some trade-offs. All the things that involve driving are right on. Stuff that doesn't (like the el cheapo trunk mat mentioned above) are irrelevant, but might matter to some people. At least it is extremely light in weight! Ditto road noise (reduced weight of soundproofing), etc. Going out for a blast up the canyon, it doesn't matter. Taking a 2500 mile trip and you have to be tolerant. It is comfortable enough. The ride is actually extremely good given the handling with the sport wheels/tire. It is noisy, and there are things you can do to refine it. OTOH, if you want a touring car, let me suggest an Infiniti G-coupe instead.

No issues at all. I am coming from a 350z touring coupe and the 370 w/sport makes my 05 350z feel like a toy. No comparison. Run don't walk to your nearest dealer......

I love this car.

ps My oil temp has never gotten above 230F for normal street use. I think the issue is mostly related to track use and if it is occuring in street use it is with high revved 6MT lead foot drivers. Keep it under 120 on the way to work and you should be good. You'll stay out of prison too (at least as related to your driving).
