Somebody talk me into it.

I have driven mine hard on hot days in the mountains. Absolutely no oil temp issues. The needle has never acted like it might think about moving to the right. It's a non-issue.

Interior noise? For me, it's the noise that comes from the rear wheel wells -- water spray from a wet road, thrown up gravel, etc. No big deal. There's just not much sound insulation and only a single layer of material over the rear wheels.

My niggling issue: False low tire pressure indications -- Happens to me very intermittently and always at highway speeds, after tire temperatures / pressures are up. It doesn't happen enough to be sure my dealer could duplicate the problem, and the light always goes out after a couple of miles, so I keep driving.

That was my point when I got the 2006 Scion tC instead of the 05 when they first came out... The 06 had a better head unit, steering wheel controls, and plus it allowed them to work out any bugs in the engine, body, interior, manuf. process etc before I signed my name to one...

I was thinking about doing this with the Z as well. But I can't imagine them changing anything asthetically with the body since they usually hold on to a body style for a few years and since I LOVE this body over the 350 series I'm sold. Any kind of special newbies that come with the 2010 I'm sure you can get installed in your 09 afterwards...

To that point...

The body isn't something they'll change for a few years.

The platform is the same as the infinity G37 - so, you gotta figure they'll keep that consistent as well since it's proven and it also is cheaper to have the same platform for multiple cars.

The only changes I can see will be minor - like heated mirrors, or different aspects for the interior.

Yep, and 2010 got the heated mirrors, I bet 2011 might see a bump in HP (equal that of the current Nismo and the next Nismo gets something new) and also in 2011 probably that rear wiper as a "new feature!!!"

If that's your make-or-break issue, maybe you shouldn't buy. This issue has been beaten with a stick like a dead horse. If the posts here haven't convinced you that this is basically a non-issue (if you're not tracking the car), then my advice is don't buy. Something else just might suit you better.

:iagree: The most I've ever gotten the oil temp up to is 250, and that was on a 100+ ambient temp day after 45 minutes or so of brutal stop-and-go traffic.

Bottom line: There is no oil temp "issue" with normal street use of the vehicle!

The only issues I've had with the car is the rear hatch. Takes two times of pushing the button for the hatch to open all the way.

the nuclear hyper-drive reactor is very temperamental in the 09's...heard it will be all sorted out in the 10's:tup:

just wondering if there were any issues with the new 370Z since its in its first year? someone once told me that when a product is new there could be things that come up unexpectedly, and that often times they are fixed from one model year to the next.

so, does anybody know of anything that seemed to be a recurring problem with the new 370Z? anything at all? should i not hesitate in buying a '09 370Z or should i wait for the '10 370Z?

my hatch is getting stuck about 90% of the time lately. I've already spoken with my salesman and he seemed willing to take care of it. When I have some time I'll see what really happens. Everything else overall is a non-issue
