Hello - Chubbs here

I can explain everything because I'm english - but I'm not going to apologise for that tw@t Clarkson, because he's a tw@t.

EXPLANATION OT THE WORD "ODDIE"...

The 370z review pretended to start with the "Jurassic Park" theme. The dinosaurs were the mid engine beasts like the Murcielago.

Then unfortunately it all went a bit English, because Clarkson said that the 2 cars on review (Z4 & 370z) were NOT giant, massive dinosaurs - they were a bit more like the things you see on a UK tv show called "Springwatch" (this was a link made by Clarkson, who is a presenter bereft of ideas).

The "Springwatch" he refered to is a live action, reality show all about little birdies and cuddly foxes (lol). They set up cameras and spy on things like birds laying eggs.

Bill Oddie is (was) the main presenter of the show - He's a funny little tw@t - he's cuddly and he would NEVER get invited to a wife swapping party.

WHY DID CLARKTW@T SAY THAT 370z DRIVERS ARE LIKE BILL ODDIE?...

...because Clarkson's a tw@t and he had nothing else to say. This is not me being facetious - it's a fact.

Guys - please don't try to understand anything other than the fact that Clarkson is a N O B and the people around him are sychophants.

It was a poor review, but the Z was well photographed and I know which vehicle came out of it the best - and it certainly WAS NOT THE HAIRDRESSER'S CAR.

...but now you know that Bill Oddie is a TV presenter (and comedian) - and that Top Gear had a really bad idea for a review.

I was curious though however, because he mentions that the 370Z had 326horse power. Is it supposed to be less than 332hp in the UK?
It's calculated differently in Europe - same engine, same performance - don't worry - go to sleep now.

I understand and appreciate a lot of British humor. I think that's because when I was growing up my mother watched a ton of "Fawltey Towers", and Monty Python. My mother must have been British in another life. She knows everything about British Royalty and has read every Sherlock Holmes and Agatha Christie novel at least 10 times each. Ironically she has never been to Great Britain.

British television basically wipes the floor with American television. The filmography in Top Gear is some of the best I have ever seen, same goes for their version of "The Apprentice". It's like watching a movie. It's also pretty ironic that some of our best rated shows, American Idol, America's Got Talent, and the Office are all British spin offs. Two of my all time favorite movies are also British, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Shaun of the Dead. I will say that "Layer Cake" went a bit over my head. The accents were a little too thick.

You bring back memories with Fawlty Towers....I also watched alot of Mr. Bean and Desmonds. Also a Chef comedy show that I forgot the full name or was it just Chef? I much prefer the British version of shows as well but that could be that Im from a former british colony lol....Lock Stock was great too.

You cant take Clarkson seriously or else you will end up hating the man like Chubbs lol...Its entertainment with an automotive twist. Only thing of merit to the enthusiast is the Stigs segment. If you want real Automotive feedback look no further than Tiff Needell on Fifth Gear. That mans word is gospel. I think you guys will love his review on the Z.

British humour is great...it's just full of slang and in jokes. I lived in "Old Blighty" for two years so I get most of the jokes, although some still go way over my head. In Australia I grew up watching a lot of British shows like The Goodies, Faulty Towers, Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em, etc.

The original BBC Office is a classic! I wish they had kept making it. When I started watching the American version I thought it was really lame, then by season two is got a lot better and I got hooked.

Has anyone seen the Aussie/Kiwi comedy based in NY- Flight Of the Conchords ?

I actually like Clarkson and think he is pretty funny. My all time favorite episode was when they came to America and tested the ZR-1, CTS-V, and Challenger. The "fat guy from Kentucky" line was classic.

My favorite American episode was when they rented some POS cars in Miami and drove them to New Orleans pissing off the inbred locals along the way.

Classic.
