Should I reconsider lowering my car?

I was planning on lowering my 40th 1" with Swift springs and putting on a new front end (probably Nismo). However, it seems like every day I am scraping the

Default Should I reconsider lowering my car?

I was planning on lowering my 40th 1" with Swift springs and putting on a new front end (probably Nismo). However, it seems like every day I am scraping the skirt in the front. I have not scraped the actual bumper but I am concerned that lowering and adding a new bumper will result in just that. And yes...I am trying to be careful. Feel like a freaking granny!

Has anyone had to undo a lower and bumper because of this?

I daily my Z lowered on Swifts at least for the time being. I rub the chin spoiler time to time on steep inclines or driveways, etc. Your approach is key and angles are your friend. I would not unlower my car. IMO this is how it should of came from the factory.

Personally the advantages to Swift springs far out weight the occasional scrap. The car will handle amazingly better in the twist & turns & steer a lot flatter. Drive with caution & you should be fine, unless you drive in pot hole alley all the time.

If it's too low you better know the roads you drive on. If you go to unfamiliar territory expect the unexpected like potholes and lowered car unfriendly driveways

I love my swifts, but I can't comment on your predicament since I live in Florida. The biggest hill we have is about 5 feet tall.

I have a 40th. With a big a$$ CF lip. And im on swifts. I scrape ALL THE TIME. But its totally worth it! Honestly the only thing on your stock car youre gonna scrape up is the sport chin spoiler which is cheap plastic and only $100-$120 to replace. I say do it.

I've been on swifts for a while now and its no big deal, i haven't come across a speed bump i couldn't go over but you do have to go over them very slowly
