I want to get a large LCD mounted on the back of my car so I can put up goatse pics when people tailgate me

Welcome to my world, where Toyota camrys leave me in the dust because i don't wanna floor it every red light..

I drive the way I want to. If anyone else has a problem with that, they can suck it.

Perhaps he has a small something else...

My guess is that people envy the fact you were able to afford what they perceive is a nice brand new car. Does it still have the 30-day tag?

No, I just switched the tags off the old Z.

This, exactly. I don't have to prove anything. I'm glad I'm not the only one who has this happen, I was starting to think I had a target on the back of the car.

You are dealing with the fact that you:

1. are a person of the female persuasion
2. drive a brand new car
3. drive a bradn new car that is a Z
4. drive a brand new car that is a Z that looks fast just standing still
5. drive a brand new RED car that is a Z that looks fast standing still

The compound effect of those five must be the reason that is drawing all the a-holes out of the wood works. Given the amount of doushiness already I experience while only "suffering" from two of those five, I can only imagine what you must be dealing with every day.

On the other hand, you are a female driving a brand new red Z that looks fast just standing still.......I think that's a pretty fair trade for having to deal with all the a-holes. :icon17:

Exactly. It's nice to watch them floor it to the next light while I casually cruise by them just as the light turns green. Then they're furiously flooring it to get ahead of me only to end up at the next light again.

I know I could spank 'em with a twitch of my right foot and they know it too but then I'd be the fool waiting at the next red instead of them.

Yup!

Besides, maybe they actually DO have an emergency or something that is causing them to floor it, and not a contest.

Of course, not many Camry's leave me in the dust in normal driving anyway... :)

I honestly just drive how I wish everyone would drive. A balanced low risk, ultimately. Yeah, I rev it up and sometimes go fast, but it's not around other people or in risky situations.

As such, I don't think I've attracted any a-holes in the Z that I wouldn't encounter with any vehicle anyway. You know, the ones who get just absolutely livid because you don't turn right at a red when you have no visibility around or over the Tahoe to your left, or aren't going 20mph over the limit, or are going slow when there are kids/animals/objects near the road, etc.

The one set of exceptions though is anyone I see already driving like an a-hole. I'll passive-aggressively make sure I'm just slightly in their way or inconveniencing them; basically just give back a little what they give to the world. A little bit of empathy and patience and relaxation could change so many people's attitudes/personalities...

Sorry to the OP for all the jerks.

I do wonder about all these incidents of cars trying to race the Z, as this has almost never happened to me. When it does happen it is never a BMW, 911, GTR or Mustang, but most likely a Honda STI or Accura Integra.

for me it's usually minivans that race me. and they win each time. good for them. now go back to being a boring middle aged, overweight, bald loser-dad, and let me enjoy my drive.

MX52Z 07-25-2013 03:08 PM

Hey now, that sounds like except for the mini van part...

Are you sure this does not happen when you are in your Honda Fit?

GaleForce 07-25-2013 04:38 PM
