Road Trip
Well, I finally got to take the Z on an extended trip. I put about 2500 miles on it across Utah, Idaho, and Montana over the last week. Great trip and the car ran like a top. I drove through several mountain passes and canyons and I can tell you it was like driving a slot car. Running along at 85 mph on the interstate seems like a crawl. Good thing for the cruise control or I would be in trouble in a hurry. Wolf Creek Pass north of Helena, MT has always been a favorite. I ran through the curves at about 90 mph and it was almost anticlimatic. I did see oil temps climb just above 240 during the climbs with speeds around 75 mph, with outside temps around 75 degrees. I was surprised to see temps get that high. The climb was not all that steep at all. My only real gripe about this car is the seats. I'm about 6'4" and 245 lbs and after 750 miles yesterday I was damned near crippled. The side bolsters really start digging into you thighs after a while. It seems to be especially bad on the inside where the electric controls for the seats are located. Anybody else having this problem? Overall though, love the car. Only other Z's I saw were a few 350's and a 300zx.

I am about 6'2" 180 and the seats are horrible for long trips, I tried so many positions but no dice. I took a trip to Orlando, my back felt like it was pounded by a meat tenderizer.

Yeah, I think I'm going to have to start looking for a different set of seats if I'm going to be taking any kind of long trip. I was adjusting the seats the whole trip and could never find a position I liked. The main problem is the side bolsters. My legs are sore today after that drive.
