Car transport
I am getting ready to have to transport my car from Fayetteville NC area to El Paso TX. Have any of you guys ever used a transport service?
Name of company? Experience with them? I have used this kind of service twice. But the first guy is retired who did it and the 2nd guy try to get 200 more bucks out of me two months after my car was delivered. |

I used DAS. They dropped a ramp on my car, caused $5000 worth of damage in which they pay after about 4 days. My wife's Lexus came in fine after we went with covered shipping

I used Allied Transports in March to ship my Z from Killeen Tx to Tacoma Wa. They have a sister company called Reliable Transport, which is the same company I think. Anyways, I paid a lot for the enclosed trailer, although the open trailer for that distance was fairly decent price.
I didn't have a good experience with this company. Yes, they got it to me safe and sound. No damage to the car. But I went through a hassle. I really don't want to explain everything, so if you would like to know just pm me. OP, have fun in El Paso. I recently moved from there. Not a bad place.... not too good either, lol. |
GTM transported my car, was on the back of a Dodge Ram 3500 on a transport trailer. Went from Vegas to Rancho Cucamonga. Think it was $350. It was uncovered. I would assume a covered transport would be more

Oh I have been in El Paso for 15 months prior to my deployment. I had my car moved from El Paso to North Carolina for 1300. While I am deployed. But the company I used tried to screw me out of 200 more than the paperwork said. So after they dropped it off. I handed the man 900 cash. Paid 400 up front. I wanna get a enclosed one but those are pricey. I would drive it but I hate racking up miles like that!
I posted it on uship also but everyone nibbling at it has shitastic reviews. |
I shipped mine from Indiana to central FL for 800 on an enclosed trailer plus 100 tip. I went on Uship posted all the info and let haulers bid on it. You can of course pick who ever you want as well. I did not use the cheapest but one with very good ratings and ONLY dealt with exotic cars.
I suggest going this route for the best price and you can still pick the carrier. Edit I see you already posted it on uShip high five for reading the whole post lol...sorry I was out all night..... |

honestly i would painter's tape the front and mirrors, and just drive it.. if you have that option.
when you stay at a hotel, ask them you want a room that over looks the parking lot as you want to keep an eye on your car. ive done this for several cars when i moved cross country. no issue. |
I hear ya and I thought about it. But I rather pay the 1500 bucks and not have to worry about anything. I hate putting miles on my car.

I used CSI Miami (seriously). They picked up my 350Z from the dealership in Miami, put it in a container (extra), and when the vessel arrived in Germany, they brought the car to my house 6 hours away from the port. Not a single scratch was on the vehicle. I can PM you their details if you want.

send me the info.
