I'll ask the guy about doing a kit up. He wrapped mine for the car show but it would be easy enough to have it as an overlay that goes to the edges. He's also done stuff up and hit it with a clear coat to give it a glossier apperarnce. There is also a third option - 3M has a clear film that goes over the Di-Noc film as well but I haven't seen that. I guess it really depends on what look you are going for.

It would be interesting to see if this would work for a front bumper that is covered in rock chips. Instead of repainting you could use the fake CF and give it a CF look while covering the paint chips. I'm assuming something with all the curves of our bumper would require an installer... but for the pillars its too easy for pretty much anyone to install.

I guess the question would be for a kit would you want a more advanced kit where you need a heat gun to wrap the Di-Noc or one that runs up to the edges that is a simple install?

I'm going to assume you are refering to the front bumper. Sounds like a great idea for those who have bumpers full of chips and are looking to make it look new again with a different look than a respray.

Do you mean a whole body panel like a hood or rear hatch?

Yeah. I once saw a flock of hondas who had hood and trunk carbon fiber wraps where you can see the line where the new piece of vinyl starts. Very cheap. If they can wrap panels with out brakes then it would look good.

lol, seeing the line where they break is like seeing a girl's panty-line and realizing she has granny panties on!

It's just doesn't belong on a good body!

Please elaborate......
sure. Carbon fiber is used to reduce weight for racing applications, not for adding body accents or to cover up scratched surfaces. What is scary to me is that there is so much demand from people who could care less about weight savings and just want it because it looks pretty that a company would spend probably a lot of money to create a material that resembles it. As a matter of fact, I wouldn't be surprised if the demand from pseudo enthusiasts for fake carbon has become greater than that of real carbon for people who actually use it for what it is intended. That's what's scary.

If that doesn't bother you, then it actually looks pretty good and a lot like real carbon!

A lot of your products are overlays and not weight saving replacements....
