Never Wet Spray

Would anyone put this on their car? If it actually worked i could only imagine how long a single car wash would go...home depot sells the new kits for 20

I saw it too. I just won't be spray canning my whole damn car, and what if it yellows or eats into the paint, and they never say that it won't scuff or swirl, or if you can buff it out or anything

i would spray all my windows right after cleaning them, and if it doesnt turn yellow after a while, ill spray the rest of my car, wheels, ect.

it says its a silicone base spray in the article so i doubt it will turn yellow since plastidip clear doesnt turn yellow and thats a silicone spray

Alternatively you could Wrap/Dip your car and spray this stuff on it to prevent having to clean it all the time

EDIT
lets hope its not like this product

dang, i wouldn't mind spraying that on my oil drain pan. makes for a quick clean up after oil change.

i wonder if the surface becomes super slippery to the touch? sometimes you dont want that on say tools.

This spray is probably going to attract all kinds of dust and dirt.

i wouldn't put this on your paint. after spraying it leaves a white/frosty residue. that's why almost everything they use to demo it with is white. so unless your paint is white, it probably won't look good.

you can see the frostyness in the box in the video linked by the OP:

or this boot from another vid:

ill do a few test runs on other black things...plasti dip, the black paint ill use on my rims and maybe a pair of black shoes... i cant imagine the frost is that bad considering how little spray is neccessary.. when they did the iphone it looked fine and they barely used any ( coated with a q tip)

Good call Drex!
But maybe the box is frosty due to the cold ice they had in it?

Great product. Wish this was around when my kids were just babies. I'd spray them with this stuff but not on my Z.........here's why (user feedback from home depot):

The Never-wet spray certainly does work, but for darker colored finishes the top coat leaves a white film unless you spray very very lightly so I am not sure how it will hold up over the long run because the spray was so light. Or, spray the normal coverage amount as directed and be completely protected from the rain/moisture but have to deal with white filmy looking spots

After treating my running shoes, I decided to try my work boots. They are a black smooth leather finish. After following the directions and applying the coats, I noticed that while they bead excellently, they had turned my once black boots a frosted blueish color. I expected a frosted black, but not a frosted blue. They do repel water very well now though!
Overall, this product is good. It has a few drawbacks, but if you're willing to make a few sacrifices for a great liquid repellant, I'd highly suggest this product.

The product definitely works as advertised, at least temporarily. However, there are some downsides:
- It doesn't dry clear. The directions do mention that it will dry to a "flat, milky haze", but the spade looked like it had permanently been left outside overnight and was covered in frost.
- The coating comes off on your hands with light handling. It almost looks like chalk, and feels a little sticky.
- After two weeks of being left outside through a couple rainstorms, the coating has come about halfway off. The water doesn't bead up on the parts the coating has worn off of anymore.
