Well for now its a yes, later no. And nope not gonna be riding around with a shaggy dog in my car, tis what the wife's car is for  For now let me introduce you to the newest member of my family, Willow, my Irish Wolfhound

I love my dog but I never let him in my Z because of his fur. However he doesn't even need to be in my car to make it seem like he actually was. His hair gets on our clothing and then when I sit in my Z attaches onto the seats. It's kinda frustrating but there's nothing I can do about it. I keep a lint roller in my car to remove as much hair as I can and then just vacuum on the weekends when I wash my car

Nice looking pup

Our dog rides in the Z hatch. But she is a miniature schnauzer and doesn't have dander

yeah i have a sticky roller to get out all our pet hair, wife has a siberian husky and 2 cats so its almost impossible to keep it out. Willow on the other hand will probably never get to ride in the Z. shoulder height on her full grown will be 32-36" as irish wolfhounds are taller than great danes...

My 7 month old, 60 pound Boxer still rides when I have to take him to the vet without my wife. Weathertech mats and towels draped on the seats ftw.

We considered German Shepherd and Husky as those are our favorite two breeds, but we just don't want to deal with all that hair. That being said, the small hairs stick to the cargo carpet of her SUV. :shakes head:

I know what you mean Nismo, my yellow lab has never set foot in my Z, but every time I clean it I am vacuuming out his yellow hair. Every time I do that I tell him that he will be why I get caught should I ever commit a crime. The CSI folks will say, "No fingerprints, but we sure did collect a lot of this yellow dog hair"

Any dog will destroy a Z unless its a tea cup dog and kept in a carrier. I have a beagle and a daushaund and they really make a mess out of our Honda CRV that it needs a major interior cleaning every 2 weeks. Both dogs are forbidden from my Z or the new Honda Accord with full leather interior.

Our beagle loves to chill in the passenger footwell. A little sticky roller and the vaccuum and its as good as new. Shedding sucks but we don't tell him that.... The fun of having him along outweighs the fur/hair imo. Happy driving!

My German Shepherd “”Porsche” rode in my Miata when we needed to go to vet or evacuate for hurricanes but was not a good fit. She passed suddenly a few years ago. I had a pet seatbelt for her so she wouldn’t hit the windshield if I had to stop. When she would lie down her front paws flopped over the console into my lap – which was fine except it often knocked the car out of gear. Used a bunch of beach towels to help protect upholstery. I drew the line at letting her ride in my Ferrari.

My Sharpei/German Shepherd mix loves to cruise around in the Z lol

Once they enter the car, it is all over as they will get fur stuck under the seat. They still get to ride though
