Definite strong possibility that this could be the next Z. The 350Z was well covered in Gran Turismo from concept to production.

The only wrench in the gears is the fact that it's not always a Nissan as the "hero" car on the cover.

On a side note, Gran Turismo 1 has similar cover art, and til this day nobody knows exactly what it is. What is the car on the cover? - GTPlanet Forums

Definitely not a camaro. Front and rear overhangs are too short to be a camaro. The roofline, deck lid, and spoiler of the covered car are pretty well defined and scream r32.

how many if you would trade up for the new model right away?
if it catches your taste on looks and performance.

Or would you rather wait 1-2 years into the new design?

After buying two first model year cars in a row I've decided not to do that again. I think, if you can handle being patient, it's smart to wait a little bit. Manufacturers inevitably work out first model year kinks and/or add new features to subsequent model years.
