I wasn't here for too long, but wanted to say thanks to everyone. The board is fun to be on, but I am no longer a Z owner. Traded it in today for a Grand Cherokee. I'm getting married in two months and after reviewing our budget, my fiance and I decided 1 car payment is suffice. It would be nice to have two new cars, but not practical. I'd rather put the money aside and by a house as soon as possible. Anyways, thanks again. The Z is a wonderful car for the money. I hope whoever owns mine will enjoy it and take care of it as much as I did.

It was more my decision actually. I don't want two car payments and since I make 80% of our gross salary, its my way or the highway. Time to be practical. The Grand Cherokee can be driven year round. I still have my hyundai beater, but that will be sold soon. I'm looking for a super clean 2g GSX that I can daily drive. The woman can have the GC.

Thank you! Yes, I would not mind another 370Z at all. Maybe in a few short years, prices will drop low enough where I can snag one up cash.

My wife drives a 2011 GC Overland and loves it. I agree that it is more practical than my Z, meaning it can actually carry stuff and drive in the winter. Granted the Z only comes out in nice weather and sits in the garage the rest of the time, including all winter (salted roads).

You should stick with us, we don't discriminate against any car!
( Click to show/hide )
Except the BRZ/FRS, the 5.0, the Genesis, more like every Hyundai, every Chevy, every Dodge except the Viper, the '13 370Z, the ISF, and about any other automobile :tiphat::stirthepot::bowrofl:

Wow, my wife and I are in the same predicament. We've got two payments, and I'm considering getting rid of the Z for something cheaper that wouldn't have a payment. That way we'd have one less payment, less for gas, cheaper insurance, etc. Aren't Grand Cherokee's not much cheaper than a Z though? I'd be buying like a $15k car lol.

Edit: Grand Cherokee's look like they start at $28k, so how did you pay cash for that but weren't able to pay off the Z? Just curious. They look nice!

I didn't pay cash and I would not at this point in my life. Weddings and houses aren't cheap. My GC has a few options so the price is higher than 28k. One huge car payment ($619 per month for the Z) for a car I cant drive all year long and my fiance can't ever drive or a $468 payment on a nice SUV we both can drive whenever we want. I chose the lessor of two evils. The GC is also 250 dollars less per year to insure.

the new GCs are sweet, should be a nice comfy car...enjoy!

Oh! Gotcha, so the debate was whether or not to keep the Z. Still a nice ride, congrats!
