You did great! Nothing wrong for sacrificing something for the greater good of the whole. Many of us did. Work hard, keep your priorities in order and save some money at the same time for the Z will return. Best wishes to you!!!

So... she just increased her standard of living 4-fold, and got you to trade in your sports car, and give her a shiny new SUV, and you feel good about this? Damn. That's a lot of wealth to just hand over to someone. Wait sorry, I meant share.

Good luck bruh.... The GC is a hot truck.

If that is how you want to look at it. You mad bro?

I'm a little old school I guess. The man does his job and the woman does hers. She cooks, cleans, does my laundry, and will give birth to my children. I'm cool with getting her a nice truck. :tiphat:

And i'm also excited to get back into another GSX. MHI turbo's for that thing are $1k, not 7k for a turbo kit. I'll post it up when I find a clean one.

I'm getting married later this year. Her Xterra is paid off. My Z i own ~9K on. I only have my children every other weekend so we have a family car when we need it and a sports car when its just us. I told her as soon as we got together that I was not trading in my car. She actually likes it. She says it makes her feel young and free again to just be me and her zipping around in a sports car when we don't have my kids.

Grats on the marriage bro. Sucks about the Z but sometimes ya gotta do what ya gotta do. I understand completely.

smart decision, what it boils down to:

house > car

but once you have your regular note payment and get your finances settled down, it's surprising to find a bit of money here and there. well, at least it was for me. at which point hopefully you'll be able to get back into a car you'll actually enjoy driving.

Couldn't justify the SRT8?

Daily driver DSM? Do you own a lot of tools?

should of just trade in the wife! Just kidding :) The girl looks good.

Congrats! I proposed in Feb. 12, bought my 370 6 days later, bought a house in Oct 12, and we are getting married in Sept. It def helps that my fiance and I have decent paying jobs and live in one of the most affordable places to live in the country. Needless to say money is tight because weddings are expensive and we want to have the wedding and honeymoon paid for so we dont have to put anything on credit. Both of our car notes equal what you were paying for the Z lol (I bought my Z used).

Kudos for making the hard decision. You know what they say, a happy wife is a happy life.

I say congrats OP. I plan to sell my Z once I settle down as well.

It was more my decision actually. I don't want two car payments and since I make 80% of our gross salary, its my way or the highway. Time to be practical. The Grand Cherokee can be driven year round. I still have my hyundai beater, but that will be sold soon. I'm looking for a super clean 2g GSX that I can daily drive. The woman can have the GC.

Congrats on taking the decision you believe to be rational for your family. I wish you luck friend. Nice jeep by the way, if it ain't white, it ain't right
