I just got half way through the article and I had to stop for a break. The writing here is abysmal. Everything else aside (the car, the review, and the bi-polar complex) the article is arguably written by someone stuck at the back of the ESL class in middle school. The grammar is poor, the punctuation is wrong, and the syntax is redundant. I don't understand how it got past the editor...

"In a world filled with four-seat sportscars"

This is where I quit reading. The author doesn't know the difference between a sports car and a sports coupe.

And actually, it's a Nissan, and there's no way I'd actually spend $36,000 on an actual Nissan. I mean, actually, it's a Nissan. The GT-R, which actually costs $92,000 actual US dollars this actual model year actually outperforms the $130,000 Porsche 911 Turbo, but there's no way I'd actually buy a GT-R because, let's actually be realistic here, it is a Nissan that Nissan actually makes and that is too much money for an actual Nissan.

"Now actually, the Scion FR-S actually costs $24,000, making it actually a bit cheaper than this Nissan 370Z that actually costs $36,000. Now actually the Scion makes 200hp which is actually 60% of the amount of actual power that the 370Z is actually making and at $24,000, which is actually 66% of the Nissan 370Z's actual MSRP, I think that this is actually more worth the actual money that I will actually be spending on an actual sports car."

**** this stupid *** kid.

Its that damn throttle lag. You can't enjoy the car unless you are WOT. I bet if the Z came with the sprintbooster from the factory (or the like) most of the review's would go much better. Increased throttle responce made the Z feel like a whole new car.

It's not just the Z. The Z has it bad, but it's any DBW setup. I'd give my left nut for a cable setup for the Z.

DBW is garbage, yes, but there are cars out there where its not bad. The subaru STI has been DBW since 2004. I have driven many and they responce and torque that car has is amazing. Evo X's have been DBW since inception. I owned one. They also weren't bad. Why nissan made their system so laggy is beyond me.

My 04 was noticeably worse than my 02 WRX which was cable, but still better than the Z. Some of the response of the STi was due to the tiny little stock turbo. Once it was tuned, it had great throttle response though. Of course, mine was tuned with every bolt on part you could run and that same little stock turbo. I still miss it. If I had known the dickbag I sold it to would blow it up in three weeks after I never got so much as a CEL in 75k miles I would have kept it.
