By your original post I'm sure this is not your issue, so I am interested to see if the "knowledgeable" service techs can figure out your problem.
Hmmmm! That's what mine did too, a couple of times. I also had a half tank of gas but was going perfectly straight at the time. I hear ya....They BEST be knowledgeable! I was a little bit nervous talking to the Service Mgr when I told him that I also had the "dreaded steering lock" issue which was repaired and he looked at me not knowing what that was at least at first. Then after a few seconds he said...."ya, I think I've heard of that before". Oh geez.......here we go!!!!!

I was just at the dealer to get an A/C line fixed and the steering lock (they didn't have the right part..) and it took them over 4 hours to figure out how to get my car on a lift. It's only on Swift springs. Gosh, I get such anxiety at the dealer. Best of luck to you!
Here's a pic I took as I watched them stare at the car for hours...
6spd, onzedge and 1st like this.

Thanks! I get that same anxiety so I hear ya. Especially since the OP a while back who posted about the service techs who took his Z out to do a pick up at McDonalds. Ouch!!!

By the way.....your Z still looks great even in the garage! Another reminder of how much I wish I had the back spoiler on mine.

My dealership mechanic owns a 350z ,so he figured out something simple to get low clearance cars on a lift 4 blocks of 2x6 lumber just ahead of all four tires then he rolls ahead till they are all on top of the blocks then swings the lift arms under.
