Sorry that happened.. Many people are just Irresponsible Jerks..

I can respect someone who makes a mistake and owns up to it...I cannot respect jerks who damage others property and just drive away...

Hope you get it fixed soon..

Thanks for the support fellas.

Does anyone have any idea of what a full repaint would cost?
I have other imperfections on my Z other the scratch on the rear.

For good quality work... $4,000+ and can creep into the 5 digits depending on what you're looking for?

No big deal??? It is to us Z owners at least! My guess is your friends are either jealous that you have the Z or they are driving beat up pieces of crap. I get a tiny chip in my paint and it's a BIG deal. Sorry to hear! Get her fixed up and in the future, I would drive another car to your friend's apartment which are most likely notorious places for the high chance of getting your car hit, scraped, or worse....stolen. Good luck!

I had to get rid of my G37 IPL for this reason. I got to the point where I did not even want to take it out of the garage. I was paying a crap load for a car I cared so much about I couldn't drive.

I guess I am just using this as a place to vent because my friends seem to think its no big deal.

Your friend must have an ugly vehicle or not care for things that you work hard for. I would have been in detective mode trying to figure out who did it and I would be super mad.

Definitely blows. While it's no excuse for poor drivers and a-holes to cause damage to another person's property, it also ticks me off when people park poorly. You're over the parking line leaving less room for anyone to park next to you. Had they gotten into the spot, they probably would have made it impossible for you to get in your car or would have dinged your door if they had a passenger. It could have been much worse than it was.

Still sucks though. I know your pain.

I can totally understand that. That's how I felt about my '07 350Z Roadster which I finally got rid of because it just sat in the garage for 2 years. The only time I drove it in the rain was the day when I drove it to a dealer who I made a trade with. I never even knew if the wipers worked until that day.

I feel you. I was like that with all my cars till my 09 Z got totalled. It was my first accident in all my years driving. After that, I just said "fvck it" It's just a material possession that's replaceable. Now cars are just for fun. Nothing more... No more attachments... If they ding, dent etc??? I file a claim or i'll sell my car.

I would try this before I dish out major cash for that Dr. ColorChip Automotive Paint Chip Repair Kit - Dr. ColorChip: Automotive Paint Chip Repair Systems. I know people that have had good success with it.

Yep people give me $hit all the time when I get worried over scratches or damage to my Z! They think I am a nut job!

Just take it to a body shop and have them fix that area and feather in the paint. Yeah not as good as doing the whole bumper, but a lot cheaper. AND a lot better than touch up paint!
