Edmunds: 370Z vs. 135i

i love this review as ive been looking at the 135i for over a yr. ive come to the conclusion that the engine is great, but bmw tuned the suspension

i love this review as ive been looking at the 135i for over a yr. ive come to the conclusion that the engine is great, but bmw tuned the suspension more for comfort than performance. so while the numbers are similar they probably feel completely different.

if your looking for a sports car id go with the Z

If you check out the suspension or track forum on 1addicts, a set of coilovers on the 135i is supposed to be a great improvement. The KWs are quite popular on that forum.

Maybe, but what about if you toss a good set of coilovers on a Z?? I think the Z's advantage lies in its revised chasis, length, and stance. Apples for Apples in any scenario, I give the Z the advantage.

This coming from someone who was all but sold on the 135i.....

You could throw some coilovers on a Z, but my response was about the "comfort" oriented 135i he was referring to. With a good set of coilovers or just the BMW performance suspension, he could have both the comfort along with the sporty feel from the 135i.
