My accident in my 09 Z was because a pickup was speeding up a hill. The hill handicapped my view, But I think the biggest culprit was that right side mirror. If the mirror wasn't so big? I might have been able to stop a second sooner and a void the accident.

Yes, totally agree. The blind spot on back passenger side usually doesn't affect me too badly driving forward, but reversing out of a parking stall is really bad. When reversing, I can't see cars coming at me in a parking lot from the passenger side and sensors really wouldn't help that until it's too late.

I didn't even notice how wide the side mirrors were untill you mentioned it. Wow they really are! You don't have to turn your head anymore? How do i find the perfect position. I even noticed my driving position effects my clutch engagement and the way I launch needs to be just right.

Basic info about mirror setup

Seeing the side of your car is irrelevant, angle them outward so you can see the blind spot!

Without some addition, the view from the Z is one giant blind spot. I characterize it as driving a submarine. Wife's new Volvo has BLIS. I'd love to have it on the Z. It's already available on the new Altima and Accord and will eventually be on the Z and most cars.

I guess I'd have to disagree a little. Properly adjusted mirrors and a willingness to move your head a little and there are no significant spots. If you want to sit with your back pegged and head pegged to the sit back then yes, a bit of an issue. I do use the extra mirrors, but mostly out of added assurance and because it lets me see an additional lane over.

If I lean forward a bit it really helps my visibility in the side mirror, but thy being said I think I wanna get some of those convex mirrors.

I respectfully disagree. This car needs something! Honda, Mazda, Ford, etc. have them on less blind-spot vehicles then the 370.

Does it look weird in blue? Does it bother you that they don't make them in normal mirror?

Absolutely! Angle the mirrors out so you have to move your head to the left or right to see the side of the car. No more blind spot.

I learned a long time ago to have the mirrors adjusted so I can barely see the side of the vehicle. This gives a better angle and blind spot coverage to help with the blind spot. It took some time to get used to the view, but now, I believe it really helps.

There are still some bad blind spots, especially when backing out of a parking spot. Backing in to the spot helps when you have to leave.
