Considering a 370z!
Hey guys...i have been trying to decide on a new car and i figured why not ask the people that have been there right?...I have been dead set on an evo x for over a year now mostly because i own an eclipse, love the brand, reliability is awsome, love turbo chargers , and love the styling...but latelythose damn z's keep catching my eye...what im asking here is did anybody consider the evo before buying their z and what is a deal breaker in the z's favor. Thanks in advance for the input...(i skimmed through the forum a couple times and im digging the community too)

nope, never like mitsu's reliability problem and fixing the problems without letting the owner know it's there.
think about it, 332 hp non-turbo vs 291 hp turbo, less mpg, higher cost, need i go on?

i know a great deal about cars in general and i do know a fair share about mitsubishi..
the reliability fight goes towards Nissan simply because they build better cars, now in the end no matter how much we say nissan is better or mitsu is better, its all personal preference. u have 1 car with more horsepower and 2 seats. and another car with less horsepower and 4 seats, in the end thats the main picture. |

If you check out the archives, you'll see a number of posts on why people chose the Z over other cars they considered.
I myself loved the Evo IX for its telepathic steering and great performance on the track. The Audi tech who does our club scrutineering drives one. He does instructor training at our track events. I got several hot laps in his car and I was in love! When I drove the Evo X I found it a lot less intense, but better finished and a lot more useable as an everyday driver. But I love the intensity. The Z gave me back the intensity in a car I love to look at every day. For me, the Evo X would be a lot more practical. But for once I bought what I really wanted, rather than making the practical choice. YMMV HJM |
