"Ricer Nissan"
Where is this comment coming from, what makes Nissan a ricer brand? You make comments like this, and I look around this forum and even another Z forum for 350z and do not see people doing "ricer" things to their cars. Now I could Google up some forums and clearly show you "ricer," and it would be nothing close to what Nissan is doing to their cars, especially the Z or even the GT-R.

Not a huge fan of posting in the middle of an all-out flame war, especially when I (as yet) do not have a dog in this fight. But I find it interesting that the 335i owners have decided to come after the Z owners, seeing as how they did this exact same thing to the E9x M3 owners. They've felt the need to impress upon both groups just how capable their vehicle is, and they pull no punches in doing so. It's right to feel affronted, because having an 'outsider' (non-Z enthusiast on a Z enthusiast forum) come in and blatantly pan your ideal/hobby is incredibly provocative. I think we, and really I mean the 370z owners who have already dropped coin on their rides, could take a page out of the M3 forums' book on how they deal with this less than desirable presence by choosing to engage in debate the level headed individuals who post (and there are a few, though so far it remains to be seen in this thread) and flat out ignoring the rabble rousers. If that seems too level-headed and reasonable, 335i owners, then by all means, flame on. My soul is prepared. But take a moment to remember where you are. Thanks.
S.

Hello everyone, let me introduce myself. I guess I started this all out war; unintentionally might I add... hahaha. I thought some statements regarding the 135i/335i were just false. Anyway there's unfair mudslinging going on here from both sides. For the record, no I don't think a Nissan is a POS just like a Bimmer isn't either.
I personally didn't like the Top Gear review. It wasn't fair IMO because it was comparing apples to oranges. The Z4 is a convertible and everyone knows convertibles weigh more to stiffen them up when the top is down. The 370Z is a coupe. Now if they tested a 370Z convertible against the Z4 that would be a different story. That aside I like the 370Z. I like its looks and its an awesome bang for the buck. I'm actually going to test drive one probably this weekend because I love cars and I want to see for myself how it drives. I didn't get my car for it's name or to impress anyone. I can't really convey this that well online but if you saw me and my attire you would think I ride the bus to work. In other words status symbolism doesn't mean sh!t to me. Now as far as my 335i, it never ceases to amaze me in my daily driving. Winter or summer, I love it. It's quiet yet can be loud. It has a nice soft ride yet can take the twisties like it's on rails and on top of that has back seats with a large trunk. Just a win, win for what I wanted in a car. The twin turbo's give it that low end torque and just rips it off the line an just pulls for what seems like forever. And now that I have my PROcede CANbus tune it's both exhilarating and terrifying at once . My gawd is she fast... *quiver* It's funny how everyone is getting so defensive over their cars but I don't like how some just flat out debunk things because of a name or calls it BS in retaliation. It's not mature or productive in a civilized debate. And if anything goes against the point you're trying to convey. How old are we all again? That goes for both the Bimmer guys as well as the 370Z'ers. Hate... it's overrated. |

As a car enthusiast myself, I like to welcome people with ALL different cars including BMW to our forums. But if you're going to sign up to cause trouble or troll, it's really a shame. Those who caused trouble has been given a little time off. I hope when they return, their post(s) will be a lot mature.
