An advantage of age is not caring what other people think. Once upon a time I would have thought MT was the only way to go. Now, after 26 years in the Army and 35 years of running, 10 - 15 clutch depressions and my left knee starts to hurt. I'd hate to avoid driving my Z because it makes my knee hurt! Exactly why I went with the AT.

I'm just the opposite. I need the clutch to keep my left leg from going numb and then becoming painful (effects from a couple of surgeries).

now why would you do that? why not just get used to the engagement? that makes no sense especially because if its that out of spec by doing something as foolish like that the clutch wont disengage fully youd have premature wear you your clutch not to mention youd ruin your transmission! what old cars are you talking about? because even in the "old cars" yes they do have different engagement points they should never be an inch off the floor

I gotta say, On an Old School Muscle car, I do keep the engagement point as close to the floor as possible..Of course without premature wear, but the way I drive it, the clutch is going to be worn out pretty fast anyways...

But I don't think i would do that with a modern Clutch, JMO...

Whoever does this is an idiot IMO ! Its just asking for damage to the front end when you are rear ended by someone who doesn't notice that you are not moving.

I also love to see those same people waiting for oncoming traffic to make a turn, with their wheels already turned. Another disaster waiting to happen when they are rear ended and pushed into the oncoming traffic.

1 year down , 2 to go. At least I'm eligble for any car with Nissan finance even if I had terrible credit. That's one beauty of on time payments after a year. I wish the new z was out already . I'll probably just enjoy my 14mpg and love/ hate relationship a little whole longer. I love the looks of this car so much can't give that up just for all the little Nissan bs that comes with the territory.
