1) sit back and smile
2) Press the 'GOBUTTONFRACKINGENGINESTARTTHISMONSTERMACHINEANDL ETSROLLALREADY' button; commonly referred to as the 'start' button 3) smile bigger in anticipation while I slowly lean forward to turn off the 'OMGWEAREGOINGTOCRASHIMMEDIATELYGODHELPUSALL' button; commonly referred to as 'VDC' button

But until I get better acquainted with the car the VDC stays on. But it has nearly gotten me into trouble a few times but cutting throttle too much when I really freakin' needed it. But it has also saved me a few times like this weekend taking a curve the was atop a hill which descended at an interesting rate that caused my rear end to kick out a bit. If it weren't for VDC I would have been toast. So it is a gamble. But it is a sports car. Must respect it no matter what. |

1. Seat belt on
2. Start car 3. Turn on WAZE app (only, in the morning) or WAZE app + Aux cable and start Pandora/Music (on my way home from work) - This also let's the car idle for a bit and the RPMs to drop. |

The Z is currently getting a tune with the new EcuTek software, which I hope will give me further control over the traction control system. Even when VDC is off, the ABLS feature will still apply the brakes on a wheel that is spinning. I just want full control of my vehicle, and I don't think that's too much to ask. I have enough driving experience that I feel completely comfortable with VDC OFF. If you don't have that level of comfort, my recommendation is you don't turn it off. But there's no need to keep badgering me about it... if you'd like to continue, I will gladly bash you for letting your child run stop signs and stop lights in the Z on public roads while learning how to drive

Luckily it hasn't happened to me when pulling out into traffic, but being my first RWD car I tend to leave it on most of the time. That and I drive like a pussy (your words ) so it doesn't often come on. Though I have had it kick on upon exit of a corner and it wasn't very pleasant at all, and it probably made me look foolish to others around stopped at the light. |

Like all predictive systems, VDC would only work perfectly in hindsight (when it is too late!) at least until MB makes a car with GPS/laser/radar integration with more than just transmission or ABS.

I let the throttle off when I know theres no traffic or the person behind cant do anything tailgating like a creeper. Its almost like not restarting the car.
