Count me in as another one [of the lucky ones?] whose girlfriend doesn't want to drive the Z. I've offered and one time she even tried in a parking lot, but after that she didn't want to. I'm just afraid we'll be on a road trip and I'll break a leg or something. What then?

Yeah, my wife thinks she can't drive a stick. All it'll take is to be in a group of couples and have one of the women say "I love driving a stick", and in a few days she'll be asking/hinting to try to drive it.
She wanted me to get an AT but I just couldn't do it.
She'll learn but naturally only when she's ready.
You gotta ease them into these things on their own terms

my wife rode shotgun for the first time in 4yrs a few weeks back in my Z.

she can't drive MT so doesnt drive my 3 cars. the 4th car, which my wife uses, is also my car. the garage is my space, she doesnt go in there at all..her choice. as much as i dont mess with her servers and computers she has.
