you just HAD to take a swipe at subaru, didn't you

The Z is a car that, in a better economy, would have sold like hot cakes. It's a jack-of-all-trades vehicle with a few flaws (again, like every other car out there). I'm not sure I agree fully with 'connected with the road', but it's definitely not a boat like a domestic vehicle. I guess for its weight and "class", it's pretty good road feel.

What the hell was the original argument here anyway...? Everybody makes a choice because it's what they want. I couldn't give two sh*ts what other people think about what I drive.

This is riddled with subjectivity and in some cases, Fanboyism. Actually, the G37x and GT-R are part-time AWD's that with some practice behind the wheel, you can actually drift them.

Nice interiors??? The FR-S/BRZ is a lot of things but interior?

I guess that's subjective to but if you're in a Z going to an FR-S?
You can't drift in an AWD car man lol. You can powerslide all you want in a awd, but don't call it drifting lol.

You're also comparing the 2003 economy with the 2013 economy, which has TONS of reasons why the 350Z sold so well.

Not sure why everyone is whining about the z's weight, at 3,232 pounds its right their with corvette? Wow actually a little lighter haha

3,298 pounds Corvette
3780 lbs Camaro
V6 coupe mustang 3,350 lb

For the same money as the Z you do get the V8 Mustang or Camaro though. The Z looks better in allot of ways though

The Z is a well rounded car with great looks, Nissan needs to keep this approach but had a new sport trim level as an option. Something like the Nismo but 450+hp (compared to sport ~335hp) and a little more unique look (body kit, special paint color, headlight mod) something that stands out. Most manufactures have this look at base mustang to GT, Porsche boxster/S/Gt etc...that's what they are missing with the Z something to push them from the good well round sports car to the damn that's a sports car....if they want to keep this pricing they need to eat the mustang gt and all else in the ~450hp range but keep the look and feel of the Z.

Default Only know about one buyer

I like the way it looks and the fun that I have driving it. The most fun I have had in a moving car.

Probably not a good value compared to some other sports cars but the only other ones that had that emotional appeal for me were much more expensive.

I bought it because it makes me happy. Ambivalence about the looks of the running lights, the stiff ride, and the noise has been replaced by affection and I now only notice the fun. She looks better every day.

I don't know why they don't sell more, but then I don't drink the same wine, read the same books, or listen to the same music as most people so that isn't surprising. Nissans problem. I think it is likely a price issue. I also think that they are losing sales to the American muscle cars because of their appeal to nostalgia. I wonder if that isn't a marketing failure given the deep history. Hard to get nostalgic about the 70's though, even if you did graduate high school then.
