Stance kiddies are generally immature (or at least under developed in their brain) if that's what you're referring to. But there are plenty of legitimate suspension mods for drivers who need improvements over the stock suspension, regardless of age

Oh Jar, clearly he is using the word in a context other than yours.
Mature = old You remember that time I want all knee jerk last year when I was newB about the Stillen License Plate thing and I was all ... up in it? And I said I was a crusty old fart. Still am BTW, the crust is now developing a patina. I think this is what we have here. He is just happy with what he got. I am as well but I use the excuse that I want to remain legal for Solo racing in B Street.

Really????
Amazon.com : A&R Sports Ice Hockey Practice Puck, Black - 4 Pack : Sports & Outdoors
'Practise puck'.....WFT is that??? A puck is a puck, or it isn't. Anything other than the real thing just isn't one. I can just hear all the Canadians and Minnesotans/Bostonians laughing. And for whomever posted a ways back there was no point in cutting a groove in a puck, because it will just squish over the pinch rail.....what kind of 'puck' were you using?? Ever held a real puck in your hands? Squish my a**. And like they aren't hard enough, they keep 'em in a freezer during games. ...and getting back on thread. Never trust jackstands entirely. Always slide blocks and/or 4 x 4s underneath to 'take' the car's weight if it were to slip off 'em. Not doing this is how people die. I know of no one who can bench the weight of our Zs if it were to fall on them. A friend of mine was killed exactly this way. You never think it'll happen to you. ....and now back to your regular programming. Sorry. 104 |

If you're convinced your stock Z rides is perfectly, then that's great. No point laying out the money if you don't need to. OTOH, there are plenty of mature (and some immature) people here who think the stock ride sucked and have made changes. Just don't take a ride in a Z with Swifts. The stock ride had me thinking of selling mine, that's how 'perfect' I thought it was. The Swifts made me a believer. 104 |

The BEST Jack May Very Well Be The OEM Jack...
Then Use Jack Stands / Wood Blocks / Cinder Blocks / Whatever

I think that jack is useless. With all the distracted drivers these days, I refuse to work on my car on the side of the road. If I were in a parking lot maybe... And for DIY, that thing is completely useless. You can jack the car up in 3-4 pumps with an $80 floor jack from Harbor Freight that weighs 40 lbs

"That Jack" Is Engineered To Lift The Z Correctly... I'm Not Suggesting Any "Side Of The Road" Maintenance... For DYI Garage Work - It's A Very Good Choice... Probable Use It 2-3 Times A Year... And It Fits Into It's Own Cutout In The Trunk!!! Then Use Jack Stands / Wood Blocks / Cinder Blocks / Whatever Believe Me - I Have All The Floor Jacks, Bottle Jacks, Jack Stands I Could Ever Want - OEM Scissors Jacks Work Fine For Infrequent Use>>>

Somebody on the forum cut off that eye and welded a nut on it. Then uses an impact wrench to jack the car. He bought multiple jacks to do that. Not sure what he uses in terms of jack stands though. I have an impact wrench in the back of the Z. I plan on doing the same with my jack.
As a backup I carry a breaker bar.

Maybe if the nut put on in place of the eye was the size of the OEM lug wrench it'd work, but I'd need to slip a cheater on the lug wrench handle for more leverage. 104 Last edited by Zipper 104; 10-14-2015 at 04:06 AM. |

Yea that is why I carry around a basic tool kit and the breaker bar. Would be better to have a ratchet handy if for some reason the impact wrench did not work. The idea does require forethought and planning ... one of my greatest skills?

the oem jack is great for elevating lower arms while u align the bottom fasteners for the struts and spring carriers and stuff. also for some cars it's useful for not undoing the CVD joint...
