Sport Package?
Hey guys, I am sort of poking around the internet for roadsters and I am wondering if there is a way to tell by the VIN if the car has the sport package? Or is there any other way of telling? Thanks for the help.

Rims, chin spoiler, synchro rev match. All on the website. Nissan Cars, Trucks, Crossovers, & SUVs | Nissan USA

Oh thanks man, but what I mean is that just looking at a car I'm not sure if its a sport. Is the only way to get the chin spoiler with the sport pkg or could someone order just that withoutthe pkg? what want are the things that can't be seen like the big brakes and the lsd. Sometimes it seems like the dealer dont know what they have, like when yhey lidt it as an automatic when clearly it's a manual.

synchro rev match button is ONLY on sport models. you cannot add it after.

The other clues are like the member above posted. The lower chin spoiler, rear spoiler, 19'' rays wheels with the akebono brakes just to name the biggest external differences. |
Yeah, you are right and I do look for that but sometimes I cant see it in the pics. I think I have a pretty good idea with the visual clues, I guess I was hoping to see it in the VIN. Thanks man.

I think since the VIN is generic to brands and manufacturing location, then specific to the serial number of the car, there won't be like a "check the 23rd character, if its an A it's a base model if it's an X it's a sports package" situation. And if they did do something like that, I'd assume it was more in reference to a Base v Touring instead.

Most obvious is the rear spoiler. Also the big brake rotors.

Roadster doesn't have a spoiler guys! Lol
OP, vin will not tell you definitively. The dealer looked up my Maxima and said it was "an SV" (touring package) which it wasn't... Oh, and it wasn't "black" either... Lol!!! Brakes, wheels, SRM button, and the differential will be silver |
Dealerships are stupid; case in point:
I saw an ad on autotrader put up by a dealership. This is what was listed: 2012 white base sport - 6MT - $32,000 Here's what I saw when I got there: 2010 RED base model - 7AT - $34,000!!!! WTF? same stock number, same vin number, correct dealership. I actually went outside to check the dealership name to make sure I was at the right place... |
