Well the car is at the dealership, will keep posted on what the issue is. they tried to argue with me again. great way to keep business.
Oh! A little background, I originally bought a 2009 370z base without the sport package. I kept the car for 41 days and decided I wanted one with the sport package. I took a loss to get what I want and traded for the 2010 I now have. So I have bought two of these cars from this dealership. I feel that they should bend over backward to try to keep my business, especially since I was looking at trading in again for a 2013 nismo. Ive had my current car for 6 months lol. The blue one is the first car I bought and the silver is what I have now. Last edited by mike12002us; 04-22-2013 at 09:45 AM. |

By that noise I would say it is a bad CV in the axle since it is only in a change in load condition.

The ticking when getting on and off the gas is commonly an issue with the axle to diff connection and is known as "axle click". There is a TSB that covers the 2009 model year. The solution is to unbolt the axles, regrease the connections, and retorque the bolts.
I had this issue and it was covered under warranty by my dealer. I mentioned "axle click" and he instantly knew what it was. |

Already checked for the axle click. Its not that. That was the second thing that was checked after the U joints. Hoping to hear from the dealership within the next hour or two. Might start taking bets on what the problem is

well, got done talking to the dealership. a few things going on here. 1. wheel bearing shot. 2. axle click 3. dealer tells me the axle click isnt covered under warranty, but will comp it. Im still not happy about how this was handled but its being handled. especially after I flipped when they said it wasnt covered. the axle click is considered an adjustment is what I was told. So for those of you out there that have this happen beware. If you make a big enough deal about it though they might cave like my dealer did.

Obviously, in the case of a recall, the dealer will perform the service at no cost to the customer for that individual recall coverage period |

I understand that you must be under warranty, however I find the dealer claiming that its just an "adjustment" and isnt covered even if under warranty is BS. If theres a TSB, they damn well better fix it while I have warranty coverage.
Just glad the OP found a decent dealer that didnt try to screw him. |
