To the OP, best answer I can give you is get 4 of the same tire. If you are considering S04's, goodyear f1's I think are similar and are both in the same range. They will be OK for beginning at the track, but can hoenstly tell you that after 3 full days at the track you will have some buyer's remorse on either of these tires.

If you really want a track tire go re11/PSS/or RS3.

Thanks! That's what I figured. Since you've had 38 sets of tires to date, I figured you were the one to ask.

So, next year when my S04s are down to 3/32 tread, I'll take 'em to the track and go 100%, because nothing bad will happen. That's exactly what you said.
