The one being talked about at the start of this thread has lower clearance while the larger jack from Costco has better reach. Lift the side a bit to get far enough to jack from the front.
I hate to be an ***... but the one I linked, it's longer (better reach) and lifts higher.

Just saying.

hey im not trying to start an argument. just wanted to let others know of alternatives alright? when did this forum get so hostile

anyway, i love harbor freight as much as the next guy, in fact i have a shitton of their tools, but for a jack, i would much prefer something a bit more "quality". quality is subjective in this case, however, the reason i'd recommend the arcan is, not only is it cheaper (99+tax), every part is replaceable. the jack would literally last you a lifetime. goodluck repairing the harbor freight jack.

also...i understand the minimum height is 3.5 inches versus the harbor freight at 2.5 inch. solution? drive up on a 2x4 and your car is now 2 inches higher. as for the reach...the harbor freight one has a max depth of 39" it seems. the arcan at costco goes 47.75". quite a bit longer..but also much heavier!

I'm guessing this is one of those things where the photo on the product page isn't actually of the product. There's no way the jack pictured on the Amazon website has a 47.75" reach lol.

That's a pretty crazy reach, I gotta admit.

And yeah, I actually have a set of 3" Race Ramps that I use to make jacking even easier.

No joke.....I live in an apartment complex and walking the thing back and forth for friends so we can work on their cars is a pain in the @$$!!! I'm very happy with it though. My car is reasonably dropped and the jack is plenty of clearance for my needs. I think anyone much lower then me is probably excessively dropped. I scrape enough as is lol.
