And its pretty widely accepted that you are screwed once you see a military I.d. or credit card.
Bad tippers (people) are everywhere. The uniform isn't a singularly distinctive marker. Not everyone who wears it deserves it.

I served 20 years in the USMC. Ive been a busboy, a waiter, a burger flipper, a mortarman a helo pilot and an airline pilot. I tip well, and by the way I live half my life in hotels. I buy every serviceman I see in uniform coffee in the terminal at starbucks, and on the plane I instruct my flight attendants offer them free drinks if they are not in uniform (because that would put them in an awkward spot as it is against regs).

I would no sooner accept a tip from a serviceman than I would allow him to pay for his drink or his coffee or his meal if I could help it.

I say do not accept tips from the people who dedicate their life, and risk their lives to defend your freedom. (and your day job)

these people live on peanuts. I know. I once did too...

I feel like I tip well but I don't make a lot of money in any sense as a guy in the military with 5 years in. Bad tippers everywhere, you just happen to be in a spot where you see many military member

Shifting with boots on is not fun as this is my dd. especially around base when you have to baby it. The first to second is already interesting, throw in boots and you're in for a long day lmao

To tell the truth we go out to dinner once a month! I always give a good tip.. 22 years USMC and still at it. I have been a bus boy, wader, bouncer, bagger, yard mower, mechanic..

Just remember people who brag or are loud about there deployments have small penises and need to make them selves feel good about it. The real Hero's don't talk about it unless asked, they are polite and thank full for everyday they have with there family. They have manners an tip well to others. They are the type of people who would stop and help you no matter what they had going on.

Real Combat Vets are not loud mouth ********.. They are actually embarrassed when told thank you for your service. Something about seeing your buddies shot and blown up makes you grow up and take responsibility seriously.

Sorry for the rant, I work with warriors everyday and you know who is posing in to seconds.

My 2 cents

That change happened in 1943!! That means the guy must be around 90 years old..How can a guy be on active duty in his 80s??

AAF Changed to USAF in 1947.

(Unless you're talking AAC to AAF?)

Default USAF (peacetime service) '87-'91

I served during the first Gulf War under George H.W. Bush. Was never deployed to do hand-to-hand combat because my job was in communications and so I remained at my base while our planes were deployed. The best 4 years of my life. It allowed me to go to college, get a great job, and finally buy my '13 Z

Active Duty Army Captain (still serving). Attached is me after deployment (2 months before getting my Z!)
Served in OIF 09-10 in Southwest Bahgdad, Iraq
ARCOM (Army Commendation Medal) for reconstruction and humanitarian assistance.
Didn't see any action, but they shot at me 4 times from the crowd at the Bahgdad college pretty scary stuff

Additionally, I was in the restaurant industry for 3 years, and my sister was a waitress for 6 years. I always tip well because I'm happy to be home. 'merica. Yup, I said it
