You should do a google search for the Public Affairs 2LT who wrote a letter to the Phoenix Paper in response to all of those people... Let's just say, it was a GOOD read. :icon17:

I did find this one - I'm not too familiar with the ranks and such, so it may be the same (says Lt. Colonel) story that you're talking about?

That one is epic and sends chills down your spine, but that's not the one I was talking about. That was in relation to a specific event.

3 combat tours iraq
two many other deployments to list
awards two many to count and dont care to much for all the chest candy gets expensive after the forth row
what matters most is getting all of my marines and sailors home in one piece!!

Well I am not a combat vet but I am a Vietnam Era Vet and i wanted to say Hello to fellow vets! American Forces Radio and Television, USAF Clark AFB Philippine Islands 1969-1973..

Father was combat wounded vet.. old Army Air Corp stationed out of England as bombardier navigator.. early 1940s..

Oh yeah I have! Angeles City, Cebu, Manila, and Zambowanga. Have been to the PI between 20-30 times on missions. Stayed on Clark a few times, but most of the time we stayed in Angeles City.

I'm a Major US Army Military Police with 14 yrs in.
Only 2 combat tours. Had to balance tactical and garrison ops.
Yeah uniforms and awards do get pricey.
Bringing them all home safely has always been my goal but sadly I lost two in a fierce firefight.
