I'm in Houston too, and have dodge everything from a couch on I-45 to tire shards from a blow out in front of me. I got the same loud "thump" when the carcass bounced off the rear fender and roof.

I remember dodging a car that had a blowout in front of me on 249 good thing i was about 3-4 car lengths behind, sad what you have to go through to enjoy an amazing sports car. I love Sunday mornings before 10AM, after that time to get home in Vanity!

me, I feel safer driving on the freeways than parking somewhere for a long time. At least you have a chance to avoid the accident when at the wheel. When the car is parked, and a bad driver is heading toward your car, you got no chance.

For me I hate the FWYs because of the following stupid things:

Corolla's, Prius', Hummers, Corolla's with eylashes - ANY cars with stupid eyelashes on their headlights for that matter. It F'in distracting.
Trucks and trailers on the #2 lane
F'in tailgaters during rush hour when the freeways are packed. There's just no reason.
F'in 55 MPH drivers -- sometimes even slower -- try 10 East in Monterey Park/Rosemeade/Azusa area in SoCal - they drive like there's snow on the freeway.
last but not the least, insecure Mustang drivers with penis envy.

All of this talk about ladders on the freeways has me watching these work trucks and avoiding being behind them and w/in 60 yards of them.

I also hate semi's (mainly the ones hauling dirt/rock) and having to pass them. I can't not pass, because then I'd be going 45 in a 70 and they're always in the middle lane, so I have to get close either way.

I appreciate all the obstacles you guys have in SoCal, as I've been there and driven extensively on the freeways a few times. I noticed that people love to sort of "sample" the other lanes. Here in the north east, you stay in your damn lane.

However, how many of you have to dodge Amish buggies and horse sh*t every half mile? Not trying to pull the "I have it the worst!" plight, but it's infuriating. There's nothing quite as exhilarating as coming over the crest of a hill on a 55 mph road and having to slam on the brakes so you don't kill three people and a horse so that Amos and Miriam can go to Target, then having to swerve around said horse's pile of turds. Also their steel wheels destroy our roads, and they don't pay taxes.

But, that's a rant I could be on for an entire week. Suffice it to say the Amish community has shaved probably six years off my life by now.

I feel everybodys pain , i have had to replace 2 x windsheilds 2 x bumpers 1x rad , 1x bib and now have to replace the front right rim due to a f***ing brick .

You don't like the freeways now ? Wait until Obama and the Democrats give amnesty to the illegals and the US population swells by about 30 million in the next 10 years. Think of all the drivers with no insurance driving beaters and losing couches, chairs, ladders, landscaping tools, old washers and dryers and everything else off the back of their overloaded and unsafe vehicles.
