Repainted bumper looks off...
I had to repaint my front bumper due to a hit and run. Now I notice the paint on my bumper is (very) slightly darker than my hood/fender. I asked the manager of the shop why and he gave me a few "reasons":
1) bumper is plastic whereas the hood and fenders are metal so that paint will be slightly off 2) it looks darker because the clear coat that they used has a very slight yellow tint to it 3) only way to match all 3 parts is to repaint the hood and fender as well He told me there is nothing he can do to match the paint perfectly. Is this true? He does not sound like he is going to repaint my bumper again...what else can I do? |
